Mrs. Greenaway is back as drama instructor/ director for this yearÕs North County Christian School performance ŌThe Great Pandemonium.Ķ
After an absence of four years, she is back to teach this yearÕs group jr. high and high school students. While past shows here include I Remember Mama, A Christmas Carol, Murder is Bad, but Monday Can Kill You, and ItÕs a Wonderful Life, she returns with fresh ideas and connections. This yearÕs one act comedy also features original commercials, written, directed, and acted by her drama students.
And, for this show, THE GREAT PANDEMONIUM, she has a cast that is happy to be performing. Joe Honeycutt plays the lead of high school director, Jarred Nusthorpe, who has had about all he can handle from his cast. He ends up using a very unique strategy to get his castÕs attention.
Other leads include Molly Cade who plays an annoying principle, and Bryn Cole who plays Janet, NusthorpeÕs strict stage manager. There are also a handful of minor, but interesting characters. Sarah Turner plays a spunky prop manager, named Urla, who quits every time things donÕt go her way. Charles Morse plays Trevor, an actor who thinks he knows it all. Kylie Bergquist plays Babs, a cheerleader filling in for her boyfriend. Melody Thomas plays Anne, an over-emotional teenager. Kelly Canon plays Oz, and unseen voice, and Jesse Dye plays Clarence, a kid playing a bunch of different parts.
The performances are Thursday and Friday (May 29 and 30) at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, May31, at 1:00pm and 4:00pm. The 4:00 show is the final show, and there will be a special treat for theatergoers that day. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. To order tickets please call the NCCS school office at 466-4457. Treats and drinks will be sold there, which also go to benefit the theatre department.
